I have a request for a hardware refresh for a GM auto design supplier company. I need some assistance identifying the best firewall/router product to replace the current Cisco PIX 300 device which has reached "End of Life".
GM has provided the range of IP addresses and port assignments required to create the tunnel but has not been as helpful regarding hardware requirements and port speeds.
I am hoping that in your travels you may have been exposed to another GM suppliers connection and what router/firewall device they are using.
I am leaning towards the Cisco ASA 55XX series. My quandary is the wide variety of flavors in that family of products.
